It damaged Cruz 2016 run (he finished second to Trump). Cruz could sue National Enquirer for a FORTUNE of deliberate defamation

I'm sorry but I'm gonna say it again.
It is appalling and unjust and ugly that our (US) tax dollars are being used to fund Palestinian genocide in Gaza. It's gotta stop. It is appropriate to protest and keep pressure on to stop it.
All the other genocides we are currently supporting with our tax dollars, arms sales, and favorable trade conditions—the Kurds in Turkey, the Shiites in Saudi Arabia, and the Uyghurs in China leap to mind—are also appalling; why just *these* protests? Really, why?

in reply to Garry Knight • • •@garry Always glad to have another LLM resource that isn't Google, Microsoft, or Facebook. ✅
Looks like they have a choice of models, too. (I'm using the web version, because I like to be able to type questions on a keyboard... and paste stuff...)
Any idea who the parent company is?

in reply to Woozle Hypertwin • • •I really don't have energy for more projects, but I'm wondering how this reference wiki would be different than the Wikimedia-related projects?
Heck, maybe we need a wiki pointing to all the human-maintained search replacements. Either that, or bring back webrings. 😜
Woozle Hypertwin
in reply to Clifford Adams • • •@wikicliff I don't think WM has any projects that are intended as a web directory.
HTYP was/is my attempt to create something like this kind of resource (started it in 2005) -- but it is much more limited than what I have in mind, and most of the limitations that aren't simply lack of personal time (since I never was able to get anyone else interested in curating it) are due to the structure of MediaWiki.... but there it is anyway, with years of scattered content (even if much of it is outdated and haphazard).
Clifford Adams
in reply to Woozle Hypertwin • • •OK now I think I understand what you mean much better. It sounds like a job for a young whippersnapper (like myself 30+ years ago).
In my opinion, a much easier project would be a directory of basically "places to go", listing at least the major search engines, forum sites, social/short media, video, picture sites, etc. The biggest few of each category might get a few sentences of text. Personally, I wouldn't use a public-editable wiki--just some (shared?) email to suggest new sites.
