@Raven No sorry, The only reason I was able to take the leap on this was the print-on-demand that Amazon provides. I don't have the up front capital nor reach to crowdsource. If it hadn't been for that, I would have never bothered to publish. I have actually still lost more money than I made on it because my marketing skills are garbage. I should probably look into non-amazon digital publishing, but I've sold so few copies at this point, and only one review(which is essential to feed the algorithm), after a little over a year I'm kinda burnt out and just feel like, what's the point. At some point I will get inspired to try to research some other marketing tactics but until then marketing will be very passive.

I remember watching a documentary about Canine intelligence. They gave a maze test to some domestic dogs and a wolf hybrid. Memories a little hazy but it went something like this. The border collie made it through the maze in record time, and everyone thought he would be the clear winner. But the wolf hybrid used a diffent kind of intelligence and got out even quicker by digging under the fence. I guess we could say that "cunning" is a kind of intelligence, but it's different than being smart.

So far, in 2023, the United States has seen 116 mass shootings, at least 10 of which have taken place in schools. According to EdWeek, there have been 154 school shootings in the U.S. since 2018, 51 of which took place in 2022 alone—the most ever recorded in a single year.

Yet instead of making any effort to restrict access to firearms, the Republican Party is working overtime to ban something they deem much more dangerous. Books.

@Oli T Why building community is essential to surviving this, however our abilities to do so have been purposely broken by neo-liberalism. I discuss ideas on how to fix some of this on my youtube channel, same name, including an idea of a website that is a meetup/okcupid hybrid that helps people find community and teaches them how to maintain community so it wont end up collapsing or ending in a power struggle.
