I've been saying for awhile that TikTok is as bad or worse than Facebook. They just didn't have the numbers to bring the adverse attention to themselves yet. I guess we are finally getting there. I need to check to make sure that the between all the Firefox browser, Duck Duck Go Privacy Essentials, and Facebook Container tech I use to eliminate this tracking by Facebook works against these TikTok exploits. As the article says, just like with Facebook's tech, you don't have to have an account on these systems for them to be tracking you all over the internet and selling your data. #SurveillanceCapitalism #DeleteTikTok #DeleteBigTech https://www.consumerreports.org/electronics-computers/privacy/tiktok-tracks-you-across-the-web-even-if-you-dont-use-app-a4383537813/

I have noticed an upswing in tiktok scripts running on random websites.
Where no videos of theirs are present.
In general I block any social media scripts, unless it is a specific requirement to view, lets say twitter.
Anyone who 'surfs' without blockers deserves to be targeted.
Information warning folks about being profiled while surfing is plentiful and fairly ubiquitous .
They choose the easiest path of 'whatever'.
