it should be THE LAW. In fact his entire presidency should be invalidated period.

@VeroniqueB99

make that possible and Republicans will take it and go after Obama…

You can’t piecemeal conservatives and the right-wing… the only solution is to make them impotent. But that goes against every principle of liberal representative democracy.

So, what’s that mean?

@fedwards9965 Sorry but since when is Obama a felon? He didn't violate any law that I know of. Repubs have been trying to impeach Biden etc etc so it's not like they're waiting for the Dems to do anything legislatively speaking to go after people.
in reply to Vee

@VeroniqueB99 we weren’t talking about impeachment though, but invalidating Trump’s presidency… I’m pretty sure Obama being a felon won’t matter in the least to Republicans if a mechanism opens that could annul Obama’s presidency.
@Vee
in reply to Fred Edwards 🔻

@fedwards9965 that was my point. They're gonna do what they're gonna do. That shouldn't prevent us from invalidating what was illegitimate for a number of reasons...

@VeroniqueB99

well, I'm not American, so I have no skin in the game and really I could care less either way... it was just a cautionary note, that's all.

no… democracies infrequently do what should be done… it risks votes and golden ticket pensions.

@505fred @fedwards9965 No he's not. You think they would've let something like that slide?

@Andrea Junker :verified: Sadly it's the same legal logic governing this as "Theres no role the basketball player can't be a dog"
in reply to Andrea Junker :verified:

As Vee said "it should be the law" but there is no mechanism in our Constitution or our Law that makes that possible. A Supreme Court Justice is appointed by the President and approved by the Senate for life, with no exceptions for removal, except by Congress for cause, by impeachment!

@dschmidthawk
Just imagine. They can't get Trump for the attack on the Capitol where 5 people died, and you ask about cause being a Supreme Court Justice telling a well thought out little fib that they can dance around for years? Our Supreme Court ....
in reply to Still Wakes Up Angry

@dschmidthawk
Yes, the US used to be a stabilizing factor, but since Trump, it's all nuts!

Have you considered that if Trump is reelected, Russia, China, North Korea and the US will be one gigantic economic and military conglomerate that no one would dare challenge. Total world dominance!

All of the GOP's justices pose threats to national security.

Their biased decisions weaken America as a nation.

Well, if they give Stinky absolute immunity, Joe Biden should arrest the Scotus, for conspiring for the Federalist Society. Then indict Gini Thomas for conspiracy.
in reply to Andrea Junker :verified:

don't stop there. all appointees of said president, throughout judiciary, dept of state, DHS, should be reviewed and considered compromised.

If the former president TFG is convicted of election interference, all of his appointments should be null and void.

Exactly.

And the same should go if the president solicited a foreign country to interfere in the election on his behalf and help him win.
