Reason 1739 that people should have a special licence to be able to drive these monster vehicles ... If anyone is unable to get out of this spot, they shouldn't have a licence ... Just saying

It's too close and obstructs the home vehicle's ability to determine safety while backing out. The offender might just as well have parked right on the drive.

The car parked out the front is close to the end of the driveway but I don't think there is an issue with that I think it is just the person in the big vehicle can't drive ... As it's too big for them ... That's my perception of the situation

If you have had a look at the photo of the "offending" vehicle and the driveway where the big vehicle is, I can't see a problem with the big vehicle leaving ... If they can drive

No dice, Mel. The offending vehicle also unreasonably restricts maneuvering out of the driveway. The driver of the offending vehicle is officially an asshole for spitting hairs so close besides.

@claralistensprechen3rd Every state has traffic laws about parking too close to a driveway crossover.

SA is the only one that has codified it, though, at 1.8m either side. On that standard, this guy is far too close.

But Victoria's legislation merely states "on or across a driveway” - and by _that_ standard (which is the one that applies), the Nissan is parked perfectly legally.

Thanks ... I think in the inner west they don't care unless it's over the dive way ... Out in the suburbs I think the rules are enforced more ... Hugz

And the double drive way would make that an easy exit

No sympathy for homeowner. The car isn't blocking the driveway and the homeowner does not own the public street in front of the house. Anyone at all can legally* park there.

^^^ Somebody who has too little regard for traffic safety to hold a license to drive.

Where that car is parked is not an offence at all ... That little hump and drive way is a no stopping, where that car is legally parked ... And the big vehicle has a double drive way
