So much passive-aggresiveness and between ADHD and being on the spectrum all being asked does is give me more stress and make me less likely to have the drive to create alt-text. The point of alt-text is to be kind. some of us are not as capable or have the spoons to do alt-text. Please stop policing people if they don't, you don't know their situation, and if the point is to be kind, and you only do it to one group you are missing the entire point of alt-text. If a post is too complex there is no way I can write one, like this, too much going on.
Also I have been here on the fediverse since 2018. Some how when the twitter migration happened, newbies were told the rule of the fediverse was alt-text no matter what. This was news to the rest of us who had been here that long and never even heard of alt-text. Guilt, shame and calling people out will not do anything to change people, in fact it tends to do the opposite because that's how the human brain works. (This is a cut-and-paste so I don't have to write it mutliple times).
