God, this is so spot-on. Unfortunately pretty much all TV documentaries (and most drama) in UK is now made solely with a focus on export sales rather than making stuff which is actually good and informative for people in this country (even though, in the case of the BBC, we actually pay for the bloody stuff in the first place. They even do a recap every 10 minutes for those countries that run adverts every 10 minutes. God it cheeses me off.
