In the first timeline Jesus had a twin brother. Eagle eye viewers can note that before Marty goes back, the church says we pray to the two true sons of God, and after he comes back, the church says we pray to the only son of God.

The only reason Marty ended up in 1955 was because Doc was randomly punching in dates and that happened to be the last one he entered.

He *did* put in the birth of Christ at one point.

That could have been a much different movie.
