Hi Doreen,
Right, the students are protesting against Netanyahu's genocidal war against Gaza as well as Biden's continuing military, financial, and diplomatic support to that war.
Specifically, they are demanding that their universities stop investing in companies that supply weapons to Israel and move those investments to something else.
The vast majority do not support Hamas and are not against Jewish people, only the government of Israel.

in reply to Doreen32128 • • •These people calling the protesters in Israel for Hamas supporters, this is the way they work, any criticism of Israel, no matter how specific and how correct it is, being suppressed and silenced.
Anti-semitism used to be the last resort for them when attacking critics of Israel, but since October 7, they are attacking anyone who do not agree with the policies of Israeli Trump and his criminal gang of Israeli KKK members.
