@BuffaloResearch Sadly this was before abolitionists and suffragists split, as the feminists were really upset that Douglas hadn't pushed harder for the 14th amendment to include women having the right to vote as he feared to would be too much of a poison pill to pass. Anthony got bitter and racist later in life.
