Your daily reminder that it’s not immigrants who leech resources from American workers — it’s the ultra wealthy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/02/29/tax-returns-irs-millionaires/

Immigrants end up doing some low level jobs like picking fruits on farmland. Even Trump had some cheap immigrated workers (beside his immigrated wife, and his family immigrated too some time ago). Actually I think many indigenous people would be glad if all immigrated people since Columbus would leave America.

Actually an interesting topic.
I've some questions:

1) is it everywhere the same or are there remarkable differences between areas?
2) How long they stay in welfare?

in reply to David Bruchmann

what do you think? in the USA we have libtard shithole "sanctuary cities" that refuse to enforce immigration law, so as you can imagine it's worse there, and in border regions that are flooded with illegals (because the federal government """controls""" the border)
in reply to woodland creature :pleroma_fox_tan:

@meowski
As woke libtard I think USA is violating constantly human rights and some cities have good reasons for refusing to enforce tough immigration law.
But I admit I never know much what's happening with the people who could enter, so lax handling of immigration law requires also care about the people and open chances for them. Therefore I asked how long they stay in welfare. If they can work after 3-6 months welfare it's completely different as if they stay for years without work
in reply to David Bruchmann

so you, a "woke libtard" decided that it's ok for someone to come here illegally and receive a free ride on US taxpayer funds that were taken under penalty of prison or death, through taxation, but just for 3 months, or 6 months? but not longer than that?

enjoy living in a collapsed economy 3rd world shithole country and having your daugther raped by a venezuelan illegal who was sent here on purpose straight from a mental institution

Crime rate by US citizens is higher than that by immigrants.

What politicians are doing is fear-mongering to have a topic for elections and to show off as tough guys.

The same efforts could be used in much more positive kind to support the situation in the cities and of the immigrants.

The issue is not unique for USA though, it's topical also in many European countries.

About the duration I just made examples, most come certainly not for spending a lazy life.

in reply to David Bruchmann

>Crime rate by US citizens is higher

this is simply wrong. 100% of illegal immigrants are criminals by the fact that they entered illegally, but also you're talking about mass child sex trafficking, importing fentanyl and meth, and so on. we have drug cartels to deal with here. 1000s of chinese military agents coming across the border. terrorists from who-knows-where.

europe is a similar situation. your girls are being raped en masse and your welfare systems abused, while you deny and ignore the problem and make excuses.

borders exist for a reason. it's not fear mongering. try paying attention to what's going on around you.

regarding elections, it's obviously a key issue and in the US it's one of the main reasons (not the only one) that former open-borders democrats are now supporting trump

Quite ironic that some members of the GOP have those business running, and exactly these guys show off with tough law-and-order politics.

And Biden might be good with his bidenomics but his border and foreign policies are fascist, like from the GOP too.

if you want to live in a shack amongst 1 billion africans, you could simply move to africa
in reply to woodland creature :pleroma_fox_tan:

@meowski
there were times when Africans were brought against their will in the USA, so you're digging here in a sensitive and complex issue.
The immigrants are neither all Africans.
