This year's first pet spider is this cute Platycryptus undatus I caught yesterday. I put her in the same enclosure I kept a P. undatus in last year. I let my younger nephew name her. He dubbed her Gwen, after Gwen Stacy. He only knows her as Spider-Gwen; I told him about her history in Spidey comics and how the Green Goblin killed her. He'd had no idea. Kids these days aren't reading classic literature. :(
