Ugh. Someone ordered a Dominoes pizza with my debit card. Dominoes pizza is a hate crime against Italian American culture and stealing my card to buy just doubles down on the hatecriming.

Q: How can we undermine the devil himself when he is selling Bibles?

A: The Poverty and Justice Bible highlights the 2,848 verses about the poor. It is published by the American Bible Society in New York. The American Bible Society can still do business in New York.

in reply to Yakyu Night Owl thepoliticalcat reshared this.

You can buy three of these for the price of the one that the devil sells.

Even non-Christians will appreciate the ability to quote chapter and verse.

It exposes the hypocrites in a hot minute.

@space_wrangler Old enough to remember-but young enough that I just absorbed the headlines and the story that dish soap cleaned the poor birds. Thanks for sharing, I want to know more.

In 1967 the Torrey Canyon ran aground the SW UK coast, spilling an estimated 25–36 million gallons (94–164 million litres) of crude oil¹.

A $0.05 red light showing CLEARLY the steering system was in autopilot mode rather than on manual would have prevented that.

Since the captain had a mental crash all the blame went on him, but who was to blame for that unplanned warning light?

Boy, Netanyahu is going nuts just based on the US not vetoing a Security Council vote. Looks like that whole thing about ending the war with one phone call from the White House didn't have much basis after all.

It's important for the White House to see clearly that Nutty-Yahoo is not his friend.
in reply to CassandraZeroCovid

@CassandraZeroCovid I think they've been well aware of the fact since Netanyahu was a RNC fundraiser when he lived in the US.

Baltimore's bridge collapse is expected to disrupt supply chains

The Port of Baltimore handles high volumes of auto imports, so while it's at a standstill, some cars and trucks will have to be diverted to other ports, which could raise costs. #press

Ah ha! It seems the SEC is capable of going after insider trading, so long as it's former minor league baseball players, not billionaires and banks and hedge funds.

Insider trading is a drop in the bucket compared to other SEC violations that go unpunished.

Anti-trust and tax fraud are much more damaging to markets. (But yes. They only go after the small fry - never big Wall Street players.)

Yup, we are in the weirdest timeline; one that others in the multiverse would shun like the plague (which, coincidentally, is something most other timelines are still down with).

For now, Gov Abbott can't further weaponize his "Operation Lone Star" militia:

"Good news! A panel of the Fifth Circuit puts SB4 on hold indefinitely. That won't stop the en banc panel from stepping in and overturning this, though, so there is still a chance that SB4 goes into effect before this case eventually makes it to the Supreme Court next term."

Texas billionaires Dan and Farris Wilks
who happen to be strong supporters of Cruz, received a staggering $35 million in coronavirus relief funding. Around the same time they received the funding, they also invested a substantial amount of money into a number of other big oil and gas fossil fuel energy companies.

They're not "saying the quiet part out loud". They're confident enough now that there no longer *is* a quiet part.
