Been weighing a concept for how to ethically transition to #renewables . In a logical world, we would just all use less. #Bike or ebike instead of drive if you can that sort of thing. We live in a world of #capitalism where supply and demand drive building of infrastructure and we NEED to #electrify everything with new renewables. So, is at this point, reducing electrical consumption, IF you have a green option for electricity, from the grid, actually going to be helpful to the planet? Would gobbling up as much green electricity to make the demand look higher cause more renewables to come online faster?

IF my electrical source was green, should I be pushing myself to use my bike as much as possible or at this point use my car as much as possible until we reach a certain point and supply is enough that everything is now electrified that can be?
None of my electrical supplies are 100% green so the point is moot and I should bike as much as possible, but the question is still interesting.
It is appalling and unjust and ugly that our (US) tax dollars are being used to fund Palestinian genocide in Gaza. It's gotta stop. It is appropriate to protest and keep pressure on to stop it.

Yes, well I don't know, I just know that we are all modeled on the same thing. Through our faith in authority, we are modeled by it in the continuous generation of fear, that is, in the continuous secretion of cortisol...adrenaline and other neurotransmitters harmful to human beings. And that we do unpleasant things to a greater or lesser extent, because we know that afterwards we can say: "I was following orders"... such is the modeling... but we could be modeled in the continuous secretion of neurotransmitters beneficial to human beings, like serotonin, dopamine etc. Although I think we are very far from that, and I honestly don't think we will ever get there.
Hospitals should have open windows until they can fix their dirty air. It's what they used to do. I think it would stop some of the spread, but of course that makes too much sense.
Everywhere. I went to a political event recently - way outside my comfort zone. Out of 300 ish people about four of us were masked. I asked if I could crack some doors open - it was 20 degrees outside and sunny. Oh no, we will put the air conditioning on. People are so clueless.
