Content warning: Musk Twitter Shenanigans (Again)

Kevin Russell reshared this.

Musk is proving himself just not up to the job of running this company. He needs to either sell it or shut it down.
in reply to Adam Hunt

If you take his valuation assessment at face value (I wouldn't) they are down $20 billion in value. He can't sell it at this point. I would say maybe this is teaching him a lesson about not being an impulsive internet troll but there is zero indication of that.

LOL, well yes that seems to be the case!

I agree also that at this point in time he has reduced the value of the company to pretty much zero. I can't think of anyone who would take it now, even for free. As the British say, "he has consigned it to the dustbin of history."

Unfortunately the "lesson learned" here is once again that "stupid people do stupid things" and also perhaps that the Dunning–Kruger effect is real. So nothing new there.

Hats off to my daughters Madison and Montana. Both of them told me Elon Musk had issues before I was aware. Now of course I didn't follow him all that closely but was nonetheless interesting in developments at Tesla and SpaceX. But, yeah, he is clearly erratic and self-absorbed. Too bad really. I hope employees Twitter find their way out. The Free Software community has some strong personalities too. Just the other day I was reading about the history of gcc and how locked down it became. But the nature of Free Software allows for forking and moving forward and this in turn limits just how crazy things become. Lots of folks don't like systemd for example. But again, the community has ultimate control. Cheers, -Randy

@randygalbraith Oh nice! What tipped them off about him and when? Did they work at one of his companies at some point or just external observations?

@Hank G ☑️ I think just a difference due to age (Madison is 29, Montana is 19). They are plugged into difference social circles and more aware of issues around feminism. Truth be told I was probably a bit blinded by wishing for him to be perhaps a bit eccentric but nonetheless push towards a better future, such as one with less reliance on fossil fuels. Madison works in healthcare (in Canada now) and Montana is still in school. But yeah, live and learn. Cheers, -Randy
