With the demise of Stadia the topic of if I, a Flutter developer, am concerned about the demise of that development stack eventually by Google. In this post first I rationalize why I'm not. I used the word "rationalizing" intentionally because I recognize I may be self-deluding on this topic. In the second port I show just how much Google is the driver of the project. No surprise it is most or all of it. No doubt google will ditch Flutter whenever they find something "better", because they have thousands of developers, and they can afford it. Look at GWT. Well, in fact, I think GWT is still in use right? I guess we can call it a zombie?

Yeah I think it is a lower probability but they've killed off successful products before that weren't "going to the moon". For them it is often "it has to go Google scale or bust". But I agree there are no signs of that right now. I would love to commission an experiment to prove that it could be forked and hosted by a new third party organization if it ever came to that as well.
