Yes it is time to tax churches - and we can start by using SCOTUS own "what was it like in 1776" doctrine by noting that churches in that era did not have parking lots, aircraft, or automobiles - and thus ought not to be considered as relating to the religious purposes of churches. (As I said, that's a first step - ultimately I want all church property and income to be taxed, just like for the rest of us, but that's a harder political step.)
BTW, I've driven a Ferrari 458 Italia - My Miata is rather more fun at 1/10th the cost.
