Once, at night I was on an evening practice drive (on my learners) I turned down the road to the tracking station, came to a dip and a bridge, hitting a wombat!
Killed the poor thing and put a dent in my grandmother's car! Thankfully they built them tough back then and the dent was bashed back out and wiper bottle replaced.
