Police Arrest Pro-Palestinian Protesters at Columbia University

The arrests came a day after university leaders pledged to Congress that they would crack down on unauthorized student protests tied to the war in Gaza.

Will they be arresting pro-Israeli protesters?

Kenny Chaffin reshared this.

No, they are busy promoting the rise of antisemitism - as if they knew all along that there will be a blow-back to Israel's war crimes.

Yes, there is a terribly complicated interaction among anti-semitism, anti-zionism, and anti-totalitarianism. People hide behind one to sanction the other and people abuse the legitimate hatred behind one to denounce those standing only for the rightful support of the other.

Because we evolved to protect the members of our own tribe and kill the members of others?

I think we, as a species, need to learn to redefine what we consider "our tribe".

I, myself, would like to define "my tribe" as everyone who isn't a psychopathic murderous bastard who is willing to kill other people for profit.

By that definition, I suspect my tribe would contain about 90% of all people on Earth. Our tribe would then just need to figure out what to do with the other tribe.
