@coffeepine @lisamelton @Alice @ElleGray As a joke-maker myself, I know that someone has probably thought of many of them before, because most jokes are discoveries about reality more than creations, and anyone can make the same discovery. But I do start from scratch and put in my own effort. Plus thereโs work writing that discovery into a bit that makes sense. He doesnโt even have enough creativity to rephrase it. Straight up plagiarism. Very not ok. Iโm blocking, too.
@corbden @coffeepine @lisamelton @ElleGray Yeah, same! I've written things that came entirely from my weird little brain and then learned of another joke that was similar. That happens and it's okay because we all have access to the same media and internet so we're bound to think of similar ideas.
But blatantly copying another person's post without any attribution in an attempt to pass it off as their own is whack and I donโt have any tolerance for it.
I have them blocked so I can't remember their exact user names, but Scrumbled Eggs and The Flash were doing the same thing so I had to say goodbye to them as well.
